You Cant Teach Cuteness

So bata pa lang ako, nakitaan na talaga ako ng potential -- potential na maging cute paglaki. And yep, you can't teach cuteness. Thanks fans! :)

Ano Pake Mo Sa...

LONG HAIR KO!

Please disregard the porma too. :) This picture was taken March of 2008. Lol. I miss the hair sometimes, but not really the get-up. That's loose pants, with matching long belts which hang from your waist to your knee, and a climber's belt bag strapped to your behind. Oha? Model na model.

Another one after the jump!

WHY SHOULD BRACKET A STUDENTS BE AT THE FOREFRONT OF OUR FIGHT FOR EDUCATION?

BRACKET A: A Bracket to Brag?

With the new (stricter) policies on socialized tuition fee assistance program (STFAP) of the university, the number of Bracket A students skyrocketed. In simple terms, it means that a wave of rich students are entering the university (or have been discovered, for that matter). No, this is not to bemean those students who can pay a higher tuition fee. Nor is this a warning that they should not be in the university. This attempts to provide an alternative view regarding that TOFI in 2007. It is important to remember nonetheless that corollary to the growing number of students who are paying higher tuition fee is the continuing commercialization of education, and the growing number of poor people who cannot receive tertiary education because of financial discrimination.

As this trend is increasingly disturbing, what is more alarming is the reaction -- or lack thereof of students. I do not know whether this is apathy or indifference; arrogance for Bracket A can be a social status; or acceptance and recognition that this system is the solution to the tertiary education woes of this country. Whatever the case maybe, it should be clear, that TOFI or STFAP is a step away from enjoying free and accessible education, becoming tool for preservation of the existing policies and oppression of students, no matter what Bracket one may belong to.

Love is...

I wrote this about 2 years ago. I really dont remember when. What I remember is I tried to define an emotion by exemplification rather than by description.

LOVE. Most of the time, it is given the cheesiest, emo-est, and even scientific (hormonal, hypothalamus shit) meaning. And yet, everyone has their own unique one. Well, here's mine. I listed my most memorable moments in sports (lol). It was during these times that you don't know what to do, where to go, what to say. It was literally kneeling in front of your TV screaming, or running to the other room asking your brother, "Did you see what he just do?". These were the moments where you are in awe, shocked, excited, happy, sad -- and even feel of these all at the same time.

Here it goes, Love was the feeling when:

  • Tayshaun prince blocked Reggie Miller in Eastern Conference Finals in 2004.
  • Tony Hawk first landed a 900 in the X-Games.
  • Travis Pastrana landed the Double Backflip in Best Trick (must-see).
  • Dwight Howard dunked the ball -- Superman style in 08.
  • Sundiate Gaines drained the game winning basket over Cleveland.
  • Playing your PS2 for the first time the very first day.
  • John Cena lifted the Big Show in Wrestlemania XX.
  • Jeff Hardy broke the ladder in half on Edge.
  • Trying to figure who's who on Adam Sandler's The Longest Yard.
  • Jason Maxiell blocked Tyson Chandler in 08.
  • The Rock delivered his speech at WWE HOF 08 Ceremonies.
  • Chuck Lidell fought Tito Ortiz.
  • All Anderson Silva fights.
  • Pistons-Pacers brawl in 04.
  • When the Pistons lost to the Spurs in 7 in 05.
  • When Chauncey Billups got traded to the Nuggets.
  • Eddie Guerrero died.
  • Team Philippines lost to South Korea in a buzzer beater shot for the Olympics (early 2000's).

  • Very old references, eh? Told you. This was a couple years back. :D
